This new album is more polished than her previous album, more radio ready. But it’s heartbreaking and personal. “Can I get used to/ Can I forget you/ Will I get used to sleeping alone?” Lykke Li’s first two albums, Youth Novels and Wounded Rhymes, hinted that could choose to follow the pop star beam of light, but I Never Learn shows that she’s not interested in pursuing that potential. In fact, she’s consciously rejecting it.
