Another stellar artist joining the ranks of this new brand of R&B/Neo Soul. Kwabs is the moniker of 23 year-old Kwabena Adjepong, the son of Ghanian immigrants raised in South London. He first caught my attention at the end of last year when he dropped Wrong Or Right, a solo song. Come May, he’s set to release a 4-song EP titled, Pray For Love. This guy’s voice. . . it’s ridiculous. Not surprising considering he’s a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London. It’s a bit early to call, but it’s possible that Kwabs has the chops to hang with the James Blakes, Sam Smiths and other young talent emerging in the UK scene.
