An all girl band, comprised of four teenage girls under the age of 17, is gaining popularity in Provo.
The Blue Aces, have just released their EP “I Wanna Know”. Cristal Ramirez, McKenna Petty, Katie Henderson, and Alisa Ramirez sound a bit like Paramore, but slightly more poppy. They are a fresh addition to the local music scene. Everyone is welcoming their style and charisma with open arms. Maybe most impressive is drummer Alisa Ramirez, who is only 16. Even more impressive is the fact that she says that she’s been playing in the band for five years… which means she was 11. Their vocals are strong, their melodies are catchy and they play a tight set.

As you can imagine, growth and range will be vital for these young girls to keep fans once they graduate high school. Right now they are novelty, but they still have room to grow into their very own, unique sound. That being said, they’re extremely talented, play a good show, and have every potential to be a force to be reckoned with.
