Williamsburg has become a must visit destination in Brooklyn with its endless list of places to go and people to see. The energy is almost palpable on the streets filled with movers and shakers. There are murals, bicyclists and creative happenings everywhere you turn.
You can feel the history of Williamsburg in the air. It was one of the first areas to build up in Brooklyn and was established by an entrepreneur, Richard Woodhull. The opening of the Williamsburg Bridge in 1903 brought diverse groups of people to the city, including Jewish communities, Hispanic families and artists. This history is still present in Williamsburg with it’s population of artists, neighborhoods of families and small, but innovative businesses.
